What's the fastest way to actually know what your CS2 inventory is worth across all the real markets?

Short answer: pick one marketplace as your baseline and let a tool pull live prices from the other 27+ so you stop guessing.

I used to be that guy who manually checked Buff, Skinport and Steam Market every time I wanted a rough valuation. Took forever and I still missed obvious arbitrage. These days I run Steam Inventory Helper because it just sits in my browser and does the heavy lifting. The extension has been around since 2014, has 11 million lifetime users and currently sits at 1.92 million active users with a 4.5/5 rating from 17k reviews on the Chrome Web Store. Those numbers aren't marketing fluff; you see the same extension recommended in every serious trading Discord once people get tired of spreadsheets.

how to see how much your steam inventory is worth

What actually matters for active traders is the multi-marketplace aggregation. SIH pulls live buy orders and recent sales from Buff163, Waxpeer, CS.Money, DMarket, Skinport and the rest. You choose your main pricing source (I use Buff for most things) and it instantly shows you where the gaps are. That one feature has saved me more money than anything else. You'll spot an item listed at 180€ on one site while the same float is buying for 215€ somewhere else within the same minute. The price-comparison angle is stupidly practical once you get used to it.

The float database is another part I genuinely use every session. 1.2 billion records means it shows exact float value, pattern index and even sticker/charm worth directly on every listing. No more opening five different sites or trusting random float checkers. When I'm sniping on Steam Market I can see in one click if that "Factory New" AK is actually 0.06 or 0.009 and whether the sticker combo adds real money. Changes buying decisions instantly.

Inventory valuation itself is dead simple. It totals your whole inventory based on whichever marketplace you picked. I usually run two tabs — one priced off Buff, one off Waxpeer — just to see the spread. Takes ten seconds.

There's also the companion calculator that needs zero login. If someone posts a public Steam profile I can value it in one click without touching their account. That's exactly what sih.app/steam-calculator does.

The browser extension itself is at csgo skin inventory value if you want to try it. I don't let it quick-accept trades anymore (learned that lesson the hard way in 2018), but the trade notifications and "item in use / pending trade" flags still save me from stupid mistakes.

Look, no tool is perfect and you should always double-check big-ticket items yourself. But for day-to-day trading and keeping a live sense of what your inventory is actually worth across markets, this is the least-bad solution I've found after years of messing around with half a dozen different scripts and sites.

Most of the experienced traders I know quietly use it. We just don't make a big noise about it anymore.
